On-Call

🔊 Configurable Alert Volume

🔊 Configurable Alert Volume

When every second counts, setting the right alert volume can make all the difference. With Configurable Alert Volume, on both iOS and Android, responders can control notification intensity to stay informed without unnecessary noise or stress. Alerts should wake you up calmly—not startle you out of deep sleep.

Why This is Great for Responders:
  • Wake Up Calmly: Alerts are designed to notify, not to panic. Configure volume for a steady wake-up without the shock.
  • Set the Right Alert Level: Setting a personalized alert volume level helps ensure you only get the most essential updates to stay focused on what matters.
  • Combat Alert Fatigue: Customizing volume helps prevent burnout and keeps responders engaged during critical incidents.
  • Boost Efficiency: Fewer distractions mean faster response times and improved incident handling.

To set your alert volume, go to Rootly mobile app > Settings > Sounds > Alert Notifications and adjust to your preference.

🌝 New & Improved

🆕 Escalation paths can now be manually ordered to simplify configuration. Teams no longer have to configure each path to have unique trigger conditions. The order of the paths will place emphasis on the first over the last.

💅 Improved View On Call dropdown in Slack to displays all available options, instead of just the latest ten.

💅 Inviting users via Slack has been enhanced with search capabilities. Teams with a large number of users no longer have to scroll through the full list.

💅 Improved error messaging across the platform to be more end-user friendly and give better direction on how to address the error.

🐛 Fixed intermittent issue with some Live Call Routing alerts directing the caller directly to voicemail instead of live agent.

🐛 Fixed intermittent issue with teams unable to create incidents in the In-Triage status via Slack.

🐛 Fixed issue with linked Slack Group not updating when schedules switch to an override user.
